ACCOMMODATION

Participants will stay in the complimentary luxury tented accommodation at Cherry Glamping which comes with comfortable and quality white linen situated in a secluded forest. There are permanent shower and toilet facilities.

Participants can look forward to waking up in the luxury tented accommodation at Cherry Glamping, situated in a secluded forest. There are permanent shower and toilet facilities at the venue. Luxury tents include two beds with beautiful and quality white linen, towels, chairs, bedside tables, lights, a cellphone charging point, and more.

You can book a non-rider companion weekend pass along with your entry. Companions will then be able to share the whole experience with you. Your companion will receive several delicious meals (Friday lunch to Sunday lunch), beverages, and shared luxury tented accommodation at Cherry Glamping.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Expect to indulge in delicious local Cape cuisine with live music in the background. Daily craft beer and wine tastings can be expected as guests make their way through the vineyards.

Friday: Light lunch, Wine tasting, Long table dinner serving a delicious Italian dish.
Saturday: Continental breakfast, Texan-style smokehouse lunch, Gin tasting, Dinner will entail a Cape Cuisine-inspired dish and sides to compliment.
Sunday: Continental breakfast, celebratory gourmet burger lunch
All beverages including craft beer, gin, wine, etc for the duration of the event are complimentary

Expect freshly brewed coffee, pancakes, fruit, energy drink and more at the waterpoints.

Non-rider companion packages can be booked along with a rider entry. Companion packages include the following:

Water are supplied for the water points and consumption during each stage. There will also be still water at the venue for you to help yourself at anytime.

SUPPORT AND SERVICES

It is essential that riders start the event with a well serviced and prepared bicycle. There will be a support vehicle waiting at one of the water points should you not be able to ride any further as well as medical staff to assist incase you sustain an injury.

A dedicated E-Bike charging station will be available near the main building. Remember to bring your charger and double-check whether the charger is securely fastened and charging.  Don’t forget to select the E-Bike category during the entry process, as this helps us keep track of how many charging stations we need to set up during the event.

It is advisable that you carry tubes, a master link and a replaceable dropout (remember it is unique to every bike) with you. There will be a support vehicle waiting at one of the water points should you not be able to ride any further

Trained medical personnel will be on the route to handle any emergencies as well as at the finish. More serious cases will be transferred to a local hospital, where a more comprehensive service is available. Please remember to carry the details of your medical insurance with, in case of hospitalisation.

Complimentary bike mechanics will ensure that your bikes are squeaky clean after each ride and they will be available to assist with any mechanical problems. Any parts used will be on your own account.

Bicycle transport from Johannesburg to Cherry Glamping start venue can be booked online at R1450 per bicycle.

An airport shuttle service will be departing from Cape Town International Airport at 11:00 on Friday. The drop-off shuttle for Sunday will depart at 14:30 to arrive at the airport at 15:30. Should you wish to make use of this service, it is available to book along with your entry online at R300 pp.

Why not book a massage for Saturday afternoon to relax under the beautiful pine trees? Massages packages can be booked online with your entry for the price of R700.

WHAT TO DO AND ENTERTAINMENT

Wander through the vineyards, chill by the farm dam or just sip on you ice cold gin!

Go for a dip in the zink pools at the Dennebos tented camp and enjoy the spectacular views of the Elgin Valley and free-roaming springbuck and Zebra.

Indulge in a complimentary wine tasting on the first-day waterpoint at Paul Cluver.

Be amazed by a gin tasting hosted by Lucy and Lee Beard founder and co-founder of Hope Distillery Gin at the top tented camp Dennebos.

Stroll throughout the Cherry Glamping grounds and enjoy the spectacular views of the Elgin Valley and the very lazy Springbuck, blesbuck and Zebras.
